Welcome to Our Substack
What to expect: a space to connect and champion the innovation and creativity of members of the Guild of Food Writers
The Guild is a UK-based association for professionals who create and publish content about food. Membership is open to anyone who is paid to create content about food.
We have over 550 members from across the world, all of whom produce work for a UK audience. Many of our members are busy here on Substack and we want to support them. We have two aims:
to promote the work of Guild members. We’ll be sharing posts and showcasing the wonderful breadth of creativity to be found in our members’ work here on Substack. (If that’s you and we aren’t subscribed and recommending yours yet, please get in touching we’ll fix that immediately!)
to create a community space for both members and non-members to share advice about writing on Substack, ask questions, and generally learn about the changing face of publishing together. (Join us on Notes and over in the Chat tab.)
We won’t be sharing regular posts here, but you will find us busily sharing work and asking questions in the Chat function and on Notes. As the technology develops, we’ll also be re-sharing pieces by members and advice about food writing. So do subscribe to be included in all of that.
